چکیده

Symbolic resources for text synthesis and text analysis are typically created and stored separately. In our case, we have a KPMLresource (Nigel) and a CCG for English. In this paper, we argue that reversing efficient resources such as ours cannot in general be achieved. For this reason, we propose a symbolic map that can be converted automatically into both synthesisand analysis-oriented resources. We show that completeness of description can only be achieved by such a map while efficiency concerns can only be tackled by the directed rules of task-oriented resources not because of the current state of the art, but because reversing task-oriented symbolic resources is impossible in principle.

Symbolic dynamics of coupled map lattices.

We present a method to reduce the [FORMULA: SEE TEXT] dynamics of coupled map lattices (CMLs) of N invertibly coupled unimodal maps to a sequence of N-bit symbols. We claim that the symbolic description is complete and provides for the identification of all fixed points, periodic orbits, and dense orbits as well as an efficient representation for studying pattern formation in CMLs. We give our ...

On the Structure of the kneading Space of Bimodal Degree One Circle Maps

For continuous maps on the interval with finitely many monotonicity intervals, the kneading theory developed by Milnor and Thurston [1988] gives a symbolic description of the dynamics of these maps. This description is given in terms of the kneading invariants which essentially consist of the symbolic orbits of the turning points of the map under consideration. Moreover, this theory also gives ...

Stable heteroclinic cycles and symbolic dynamics.

Let S(1) (0), S(1) (1),.,S(1) (n-1) be n circles. A rotation in n circles is a map f: union or logical sum (i=0) (n-1)S(1) (i)--> union or logical sum (i=0) (n-1)S(1) (i) which maps each circle onto another by a rotation. This particular type of interval exchange map arises naturally in bifurcation theory. In this paper we give a full description of the symbolic dynamics associated to such maps.

Banach module valued separating maps and automatic continuity

For two algebras $A$ and $B$, a linear map $T:A longrightarrow B$ is called separating, if $xcdot y=0$ implies $Txcdot Ty=0$ for all $x,yin A$. The general form and the automatic continuity of separating maps between various Banach algebras have been studied extensively. In this paper, we first extend the notion of separating map for module case and then we give a description of a linear se...

Symbolic dynamics is a coarse-grained description of dynamics. By taking into account the " geometry " of the dynamics, it can be cast into a powerful tool for practitioners in nonlinear science. Detailed symbolic dynamics can be developed not only for one-dimensional mappings, unimodal as well as those with multiple critical points and discontinuities, but also for some two-dimensional mapping...
